Same Day Clinic
The Same Day Clinic provides the ability to receive treatment for conditions requiring non-urgent and minor same-day care.
Some examples of conditions we can treat in the Same Day Clinic include:
Minor infections
Rashes
Upset stomachs
Minor cuts and burns
Minor strains
Sore throat
UTI
Some examples of services we can provide through the Same Day Clinic include:
DMV medical forms
Prescription renewals (we do not renew or prescribe controlled substance prescriptions such as narcotic pain medication)
Referrals to specialists
Referrals for X-ray and blood collections
Treatment that is not available at the Same Day Clinic:
Any condition requiring urgent or emergency care (chest pain, anaphylaxis, stroke-like symptoms

To book an appointment, call 1-902-273-2098 30 minutes before each clinic to make a same-day appointment. Walk-ins are not available.

Anyone can be seen but if you already have a family doctor we encourage you try and book an appointment with them first.

Yes. The clinic operates on a first come, first served basis. You may call the clinic 30 minutes prior to each clinic opening to make same-day appointments.

If you are a Canadian resident with a valid provincial or territorial health card (except for Quebec) most of our services are covered by your health card. Quebec residents, out of country residents, or those without a valid health card will have to pay for services.

Some vaccines provided by public health such as measles and tetanus can be provided at the clinic. If you have vaccination records please bring them with you. The physician might need to order blood tests to ensure you are not allergic to the vaccination being requested.
Vaccinations for Hepatitis A&B can be provided by the Chester Pharmasave on payment of a fee. B12 and depo-provera injections are available however the patient must supply medication for injections.

A copy will be sent to your family doctor if you have one. Once we receive your results, they are reviewed by the doctor or nurse practitioner. If there is anything of concern, you will be contacted to book a follow-up appointment to discuss your results. If the results are normal, you will not be contacted. If you have questions about if we’ve received your results, please contact the Medical Office Admin during healthcare navigation hours. Please note we can only release your results to you once the doctor or NP has signed off on them.

We can provide refills for many medications on a short-term basis. We do not provide new prescriptions or refills for controlled substances, including narcotic pain medication.

THRIVE Mental Health Service
THRIVE is a self-referred short-term support program. We can provide up to three 50-minute in-person or telephone appointments in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
THRIVE helps to support mild to moderate mental health concerns such as anxiety, grief, depression, adjusting to life changes, and other non-crisis mood disorders by providing you with tools and or referrals.
